HVAC Technician (Independent Contractor – Hourly)

Location: DMV Area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia)
Type: Independent Contractor (Part-Time, Scalable to Full-Time Workload)
Compensation:$45–$65 per hour (based on experience and complexity)

About the Role

Maxin Home is redefining how homeowners manage their systems. We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician Contractor to support maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across our managed homes.

This role offers flexible scheduling with a clear path to consistent, full-time work volume.

Responsibilities

  • Perform seasonal HVAC maintenance (tune-ups, inspections, filter changes)

  • Diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems

  • Install HVAC components and systems when needed

  • Identify issues early and recommend preventative solutions

  • Optimize system performance and efficiency

  • Document work completed and provide service recommendations

  • Deliver a high-quality, professional customer experience

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HVAC experience (residential preferred)

  • Certification required

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills

  • Own tools and reliable transportation

  • Professional communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
